Abstract/Summary

Evaluation into the east wall of the City walls in 2012 comprising a single trench investigating the core of the wall and a small test pit at the base of the wall. The revaluation indicated that at this location the core material largely dated to the late post medieval, however there was evidence for remains of a medieval date as well as traces of the Roman wall and earth rampart.
