| Author/Originator | Archaeological Research Services Ltd |
| Report Number | R3396 |
| Date/Year | 2011 |
Abstract/Summary
Obsevations of the borehole works demonstrated that any remains of the Leftwich Salt Works (as shown on the tithe map and OS first edition 25" map) were poorly preserved, affected by subsidence, and deeply buried by modern debris. As a consequence, the watching brief required by condition will be reduced to much lower level. As of the end of December 2012, however, the site has not been developed and this interim report has been added to the records as a guide to the nature of the deposits present.
