Abstract/Summary
Camp commissioned in 1942 and initially used to train fleet air arm mechanics until 1947. It was then tenanted by the USAF until some pome point in the 1950s, when it was used to accommodate personnel connected with the nearby RAF Burtonwood. Since being decommissioned , the site has been in the ownership of a local farmer and has gradually decayed. It now has permmission for re-development for housing and the present report presents a brief history of the site and a basic record of the surviving buildings.
