Abstract/Summary
The report describes the results of a programme of palaeoenvironmental analysis obtained from cores drilled through the pet and alluvium on the Ince Marshes to a depth of c 10m below modern ground level. |Both pollen and macrofossil analysis were carried out and provided information on the changing environment siince the immediate post-glacial. Radiocarbon dating sallowed the date of the main marine incursion to be determined.
