Abstract/Summary
The report describes the results of observations made during a watching brief conducted during a programme of geotechnical test pitting and bore hole drilling on the site of the old gas works, Nantwich. Evidence of disturbence and contamination was revealed but also remains suggesting the survival of significant archaeological remains in parts of the site. The results will inform the preparation of a development brief for the site.
