Abstract/Summary
The desk-based assessment considers land c 34ha in extent to the east of School Lane, hartford, Cheshire. The study considers that the site has low potential for any archaeological evidence for the prehistoric, medieval, and post-medieval periods, with limited potential for remains from the Roman period to be present. It is also acknowledged that there may be potential for the presence of deposits with palaeoecological interest to be present in the valley of the Weaver (alluvium and peats). It is accepted that further work will be required to address these areas of potential.
