Abstract/Summary
Report on the results of an archaeological excavation carried out at New Crane Street, Chester, in advance of the construction of residential homes. Previous excavation and evaluation work to the south had identified remains thought to be associated with the canalisation of the River Dee and the construction of flood defences known as 'The Cop' during the early eighteenth century.
