This Heritage Assessment considers land approximately 6 hectares in extent at Golden Nook Farm, Cuddington, Cheshire. There are no Scheduled Monuments, Listed Buildings, Registered Battlefields, Registered Parks and Gardens or Conservation Areas on-site or in the immediate vicinity. The assessment notes that there are no statutory or non-statutory designated heritage assets on the Site. However, two Roman roads lie adjacent to the Site boundary as does a de-listed milestone. In the context of PPS 5, this assessment concludes that localised parts of the site have a moderate potential for Prehistoric and Roman evidence and that the potential for archaeological evidence from all other periods is low. In relation to the proposed development, it is likely that the local authority's archaeological advisor will recommend the inclusion of a planning condition requiring archaeological survey and recording on specific localised parts of the site in advance of development.
