| Author/Originator | Gifford and Partners |
| Report Number | R3023 |
| Date/Year | 2010 |
Abstract/Summary
Gifford undertook an archaeological watching brief during development ground works on land at
Ravensholme Lane, Tattenhall, Cheshire (NGR SJ 485 588). The watching brief was made a
condition of planning consent for the development of a residential scheme on the site as the
village of Tattenhall has proven archaeological potential. The watching brief was commissioned
by McInerney Homes and was undertaken over several days in February 2010.
1.1.2 The archaeological watching brief demonstrated that the Ravensholme Lane site contained no
archaeologically significant material. The results indicate that the site lies outside the limits of
previous settlement activity and formed part of the surrounding agricultural lands.
