Date/Year 2008

Abstract/Summary

This Conservation Area Character Appraisal and its initial proposals was first prepared by Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council in 1997/99 in consultation with local residents and the Parish Council and has subsequently been reviewed and updated in conjunction with the Parish Council in 2008. Its purpose is to clearly define those aspects of the Conservation Area’s architectural and historic interest which make it special, review its boundaries and consider how its special character and appearance might be better preserved or enhanced. It acts as a guide to lead further work in adopting a firmer framework for the management of the Conservation Area.
