This Conservation Area Character Appraisal and its initial proposals was first prepared by Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council in 1999 in consultation with local residents and the Parish Council and has subsequently been reviewed and updated in conjunction with the Parish Council in 2007. Its purpose is to clearly define those aspects of the Conservation Area’s architectural and historic interest which make it special, review its boundaries and consider how its special character and appearance might be better preserved or enhanced.
