Abstract/Summary

Archaeological watching brief and rapid archaeological investigation in the road to the east of the Eastgate clock. This work was undertaken after a section of sewer had collapsed in late July 2009. A sandstone wall was recorded that may belong not to the medieval Eastgate but to a later structure.
