| Title | An Archaeological Assessment of Land at Hall Road, Handforth, Cheshire |
| Author/Originator | Malcolm Reid BA |
| Report Number | R2850 |
| Date/Year | 2008 |
Abstract/Summary
An archaeological desk-based assessment undertaken prior to the submission of a planning application for housing. The proposed development site lies adjacent to Handforth Hall, built in 1562, a Grade II* Listed Building. Information suggests that the sites of the medieval manor house, chapel and associated burials might lie near the Hall, in an area later occupied by farm buildings (now demolished).
