This appraisal seeks to define what is special about the Bollington and Kerridge Conservation Areas, and to provide information about its historic development and architectural worth. Additionally, a number of issues (particularly the loss of architectural features) are identified and proposals put forward which seek the future preservation and enhancement of the area. Chapter 8 of this appraisal also includes detailed advice on all new development (including extensions to existing buildings), which will be of interest to property owners and their agents.
