Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Oxford Archaeology North on behalf of United Utilities during topsoil stripping activities in 2006. Pottery dating to the late eighteenth to twentieth centuries was recovered from the topsoil. Three parallel gullies and a possible boundary ditch were recorded in Field 2, a complex of stone-built land drains was recorded in Field 5, and footings for a nineteenth-century outbuilding were observed and recorded in Field 6. Otherwise, no features of archaeological significance were encountered.
