Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for an extension to the rear of The Old Post Office, Beech House, Malpas. The watching brief revealed that the area of the building extension had been disturbed in modern times to the level of the sandstone bedrock which was encountered at a shallow depth. Towards the rear of the site, which formed part of a medieval burgage plot, there was less disturbance.
