| Author/Originator | Giffords Consulting Engineers (Chester) |
| Report Number | R2430 |
| Date/Year | 2002 |
Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 2001 at Shrigley Dyers, Macclesfield, in response to a development proposal relating to the demolition of the former water mill and associated buildings. The mill, originally know as Higher Mill, was built in the 1790s and extended in circa 1835. No elements of the mill earlier than those already known were identified, although it was possible to identify later additions to the original structures, such as the reservoir wall.
