Abstract/Summary
A re-assessment of documentary sources for the proposed route of the A533 Davenham By-Pass, together with further field-walking and a geophysical survey of targeted areas. Also considered are the results of a localised palaeoenvironmental sampling operation. Neither the field or geophysical survey gave any positive indication of archaeological features.
