Abstract/Summary
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in 2001 at Rope Lane (Archaeological Site 17), Shavington, Cheshire. The trenches were positioned to investigate five linear geophysical anomalies, two earthworks and other areas. However, all of the features were related to drainage of relatively modern date. There was no evidence for an earlier alignment of Rope Lane.
