Source/Archive record SCH4046 - Manchester Airport Proposed Second Runway: Geophysical Survey

Report detailing the results of geophysical survey undertaken in 1996 in the area of the proposed second runway at Manchester Airport. Five areas of survey were undertaken as a sample across the area of interest. Evidence for ridge and furrow ploughing was noted in three of the survey areas. Also former field boundaries were recorded. A short linear anomaly adjacent to Woodend Farm which is also visible as a slight earthwork may be structural.
