Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 1998 during top-soil stripping at Bent Farm Silica Sand Quarry, Wallhill Lane, Congleton. The monitoring was carried out because a potential Roman temporary camp, which is scheduled, is located nearby (SJ 8370 6195), however, no significant archaeology was identified.
