Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 1999 during groundworks for a house extension and garage construction at St. James Court, Churchfields, Audlem. The site lies close to the medieval Church of St. James. However, the results of the watching did not identify any significant archaeological remains; the only notable features encountered were a ditch of eighteenth century date and a later post hole of nineteenth century or later date.
