Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 1999 during groundworks associated with the construction of a new lodge to the rear of the Swan Public House, Winwick. To the north of the new building several post holes were recorded and pottery fragments recovered, and potentially represented a former medieval fence-line. A possible ditch/gully was also observed in the same area, this also produced medieval pottery.
