Abstract/Summary
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in 1999 for land off Church Street/Bath Street, Sandbach. Although the site is dominated by buildings dating to the mid-nineteenth century, documentary and cartographic sources suggest that the site may lie within the core of Medieval Sandbach which is thought to have Saxon origins.
