| Report Number | R2237 |
| Date/Year | 1997 |
Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in March 1994 during development of a site at Cocoa Yard, Pilliary Street, Nantwich. The results demonstrated that rich archaeological deposits dating to the medieval period lie within the site, including a series of intercutting pits of likely thirteenth to fourteenth century date, also a ditch/gully. Substantial islands of deposits still survive between the drain runs and foundation trenches associated with the new development.
