Full Description
A large, partly timbered house on the West of Abbey Lane. Built in 1910 on the site of a house called Kenmure, it was bought by the Crewdsons cotton manufacturing family in 1914 along with the Grange Cottages [CSMR: 4175/0/2] (1). It is not present on any of the historical OS maps, however Kenmure [CSMR: 4175/1/0], a Methodist Chapel [CSMR: 4175/1/1] and a Well [CSMR: 4175/1/2] are on the maps in the places of the Grange and the cottages.
