Full Description
Royal observer corps 16 B 3. (1) In a small rectangular compound on a low hilltop, East of a public footpath, 150 yards West of Audlem Road (A529). All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the grey paint. There are three steps up to the access shaft. The hatch is locked (2). Probably built in 1938, it was post 2 in cluster B of group 27. It was made 'Permanent' by December 1952 and it changed to post 2 in cluster P of group 16. In October 1965 the post was moved to underground, and finally in October 1968 it was changed to post 3 in cluster B of group 16 (3).
