Socketed Bronze Age axe head found by Metal Detector. Loop broken off: apparently some of top edge (I.e socket) missing: clear signs of sharpening and still sharp. Closest parallel in Davey ''Bronze Age Metalwork'' No 96 (Coniston). Reported to the Grosvenor Museum 30.10.97 (1).
