Please read our .

Summary

There are traces of a Holloway near Armstrong Farm. The course of a prominent wide (5 to 8 metres) ditch can be traced over a grassy field until it is lost at a field bank, with a ditch and brook at the lowest point. This appears to be on the course of the Hollow way followed through woodland from Thieves Hole to Beacon Lodge. This may be an earlier feature possibly even medieval or prehistoric; another small section was identified in Windmill Wood opposite Beacon Lodge.
