Full Description
Traces of Holloway near Armstrong Farm. The course of a prominent wide (5 to 8 metres) ditch can be traced over a grassy field until it is lost at a field bank, ditch and brook at the lowest point. This appears to be on the course of the same Hollow way followed through woodland from Thieves Hole (CSMR: 2998) to Beacon Lodge (CSMR: 2934). This may be an earlier feature possibly even medieval or prehistoric; another small section was identified in Windmill Wood opposite Beacon Lodge (CSMR: 1440/0/18) (1).
