Celtic Carved Stone Head. Straight sided nose, slit mouth and fairly long neck. Probably dates to around the 1st to 2nd century AD. It was found in a garden in Widnes in 1968. Identified by Mr. Sidney Jackson formerly of Bradford Museum.

The current whereabouts are unknown. It belongs to a large group of stone heads from Britain which on stylistic grounds are termed 'Celtic', but which show continuity into the Post Medieval period. Also mentioned in the Manchester Museum Record List of 1991.
