Monument record 2953 - Possible Barrow and Tree Plantation

Please read our .

Summary

The earth circle, if indeed this is the site of one, is not visible today. Mine workings adjacent to it have all but obscured it. A small circular plantation is shown here on the 1775 enclosure award map suggesting the construction of a contemporary landscape feature or else the use of a pre-existing earthwork for planting but the latter seems most likely.
