Mine Workings in field, Finlow Hill. A continuation of the line of workings described in Finlow Hill Wood including a number of small shaft collapses detectable within the area of hummocky ground at the highest point of the field. These and the encircling spoil mounds have been considerably smoothed by plough action and also, faint features most likely to be connected with mining have been detected on a magnetometer survey in the area, carried out in 1997.
