Summary
At the entrance to the quarry, a small powder store has been carved out. The entrance faces Southeast and is in a slight hollow. The internal room is L-shaped and doesn’t face directly outwards as is typical of a powder store. This rock-cut feature is fairly unique.

At the entrance to the quarry, a small powder store has been carved out. The entrance faces Southeast and is in a slight hollow. The internal room is L-shaped and doesn’t face directly outwards as is typical of a powder store. This rock-cut feature is fairly unique. Probably early 19th century in date but this is yet to be confirmed (1).
