Monument record 1446/18/4 - Glaze Hill sled tracks

Summary
The remains of an old track towards Saddlebole, cut into the sides of Glaze Hill that was possibly used for transporting blocks of quarried stone away from the Hough. In places, the track has been built up with small blocks of sandstone. An old Boundary bank on the eastern side of this feature has been eroded away but the original shape has been preserved by in the protruding tree roots.

Full Description
Old Sled Track, Glaze Hill. The remains of an old track towards Saddlebole, cut into the sides of Glaze Hill. Possibly used for transporting blocks of quarried stone away from the Hough. In places, the track has been built up with small blocks of sandstone. An old Boundary bank on the eastern side of this feature has been eroded away but the original shape has been preserved by in the protruding tree routes (1).
