Summary

Over an area of 150 square metres, there is evidence of small scale quarrying of surface boulders and detached outcrop slabs of conglomerate. There is little evidence of quarried faces or tool markings but the ground is very hummocky. These workings are undated but are presumably pre 18th century and post-Medieval.

Full Description

Surface Quarrying on Glaze Hill. Over an area of 150 square metres, there is evidence of small scale quarrying of surface boulders and detatched outcrop slabs of conglomerate. Little evidence of quarried faces or tool markings but the ground is very hummocky. A quarry hollow and spoil tips are visible near to the given grid reference also. These workings are undated but are presumably pre 18th century and post-Medieval (1).
