Please read our .

Summary

There are two or three small bisected workings approximately 0.5 to 1 metre in diameter, upon steps in baritic sandstone beds. There are pit markings on the uppermost side that are preserved despite weathering. The pit workings may have followed mineralised films along the bedding joints. Roeder recorded finding several stone hammers, suggesting a prehistoric element to the site, plus burnt gorse within residual infill of one of the pits.
