Full Description
According to (1), there was a line of 12 shaft depressions and spoil mounds associated with an interconnected series of shallow workings between Well shaft and Engine Vein. Some have little surface expression of their presence and little surrounding spoil but a complex of about 6 shafts and spoil mounds (to the south) indicate that a greater depth was mined which may posssibly have included a reworking of the vein. The workings probably date to the period 1810 - 1820.
