Summary
This Well with cast iron fly wheel and pump can be seen on the east side of the path from church quarry to the Wizard. The base of it enters the workings of the Cobalt mine, the well shaft is circular with a drop of 30 to 40 feet to the water. It was last used in the 1940's, and was abandoned due to high levels of lead in the water.

The Wizard Inn Well. This Well with cast iron fly wheel and pump can be seen on the east side of the path from church quarry to the Wizard.The base of it enters the workings of the Cobalt mine, the well shaft is circular with a drop of 30 to 40 feet to the water. Was last used in the 1940's, abandoned due to high levels of lead in the water (1).
