Full Description
Outcrop Quarry and borehole at Waterfall Wood. Isolated pick holes and herring bone pick marks on one side and top of the out crop at the head of the stream. Only several blocks have been removed. There is evidence to suggest that an attempt to plug and feather the top overhang was planned but never carried out. The borehole may have been a drain but it is now filled with a wooden plug. The date is unknown but it is thought to be 19th century or earlier (1).
