Summary
There are two seventeenth century dates with possible initials inscribed into the side of the cliff here which appear to be genuine, based on the style of lettering and the erosion of the cliff face after the graffiti was made.

Full Description
on a slightly better preserved side of the cliff of eroded Wilmslow sandstone, there are the two dates 1664 and 1665 crossed out with possible initials underneath. Style of lettering looks genuine as does the weathering. There are 19th century dates also (1).
