Summary

This Earth Circle is a sub-circular earthen mound higher in the centre than typical earth circles on the Edge with a satellite ring-bank feature attatched. It was referred to by Roeder and Graves (1905) as 16 yards in diameter and possibly a prehistoric feature. Near to this site, an early Bronze Age shaft hole axe is reputed to have been found by children digging there.

Full Description

Earth Circle near to Edge House. It is a sub-circular earthen mound higher in the centre than typical earth circles on the Edge with a satellite ring-bank feature attatched. It was referred to by Roeder and Graves (1905) as 16 yards in diameter and possibly a prehistoric feature. Suveyed by A.E.L.P but no excavation was actioned. Near to this site, an early Bronze Age shaft hole axe is reputed to have been found by children digging there (1).
