Summary

Grade II listed farmhouse, built in the late 17th century with 19th century alterations. It is built in Flemish and English bond brick with a welsh slate roof. It is an L-shaped building with a lobby-entry plan. The central projecting two- storey porch has a stone-coped gable on kneelers. Against the front of the house is a five-step stone mounting block containing a dog kennel.

Full Description

Tollemache Farmhouse, Tarporley Road. Late C17 with C19 alterations. Flemish and English bond brick, Welsh slate roof. One central ridge chimney. L-shaped, lobby-entry plan. Two-storey symmetrical three-bay east front. Stepped brick band at first floor. Central projecting two- storey porch has stone-coped gable on kneelers. End bays have three-light wooden casements under low segmental brick heads. Gable ends are stone- coped and kneelered. Interior: Provisional list records deep inglenook in room to right, C18 mantel in room to left. Staircase with close string and turned balusters. Against front of house is a five-step stone mounting block containing a dog kennel. Full architectural description (1).
