Full Description
Coin Hoard. A total of 32 coins, 28 'Elizabeth I' Shillings, 1 'Philip & Mary' Shilling, 2 'Elizabeth I' Sixpences and 1 'Elizabeth I' Groat. The coins were found in sub-soil at an approximate depth of 450mm (18 inches). Scattered over an approximate distance of 20 feet (6.5 metres). No signs of a container. Three of the coins were found adhered together but the rest were dispersed (1).
32 post-medieval silver coins, Mary I - Elizabeth I, deposited about 1603-4 discovered whillst metal detecting on the 13th and 19th August 2000.
