Full Description
Two Roman trumpet brooches found May 2000. 1st-2nd century date. One has a small plain head, remains of a spring and iron pin. Triple moulding at the waist. Plain leg terminates in a moulded foot knob. Catch plate is complete. Other consists of a corroded head and part of the bow. Head has moulded decoration. Triple waist moulding conprises three flattened beads which extend around the back of the bow. Leg and catch plate missing (1).
