Summary

Built in 1838 by the Primitive Methodists on land behind Cherry Brow Terrace, Hadlow Road. It had box pews with doors and was demolished after the construction of the present chapel in 1889, which incorparates its foundation stone.

Full Description

Built in 1838 by the Primative Methodists on land behind Cherry Brow Terrace, Hadlow Road. It had box pews with doors and was demolished after the construction of the present extant chapel (SMR 28/9) in 1889, which incorparates its foundation stone. The site is now the allotment garden which adjoins the entrance to the Pollards Inn carpark (1).
