Full Description
Brassey Hall, Huxley Lane. House, formerly dated 1584 on gable bressumer. Timber framed with wattle & daub and rendered brick infill and a slate roof. Two storeys. Entrance front. Gabled wings to either side of central range. Lefthand wing has close studding to both floors and jetties to the first floor and gable. V-strutting to gable and King post. The central range has decorative small framing with chevron strutting, diamonds and quatre circles. The righthand gabled wing has close studding to both floors and V- strutting to the jettied gable. The righthand side has a projecting gabled wing at left with timber framed gable and chimney breast to right of this. Rear of house largely rebuilt this century. Full architectural description (1).
