Full Description
Silver gilt cross from the 14th or 15th century. 29mm long x 18.5mm wide to be worn around the neck.(1)
Medieval sillver-gilt pendant crucifix dated to the late 14th or early 15th century. Discovered with metal detector in August 2000. Crucifix likely to have been suspended from a rosary or chain and has suspension loop at the top. The figure of christ on the front is worn and the back of the cross is plain. The cross is floriate in design with each arm terminating in a stylised trefoil containing leaves engraved with lozenges. The dimensions of the Crucifix are length: 29mm, width: 18.5mm, weight: 2.41g (2)
Silver-gilt cross with suspension loop at the top. Worn figure of Christ on the front, back is entirely plain. The cross is floriate, each arm terminating in a stylised trefoil cointaining leaves engraved with lozenges.(3)
