Full Description
Found while digging garden. A rim sherd weighing 10gm, belonging to a shallow dish with rim turned inwards. Product of local kilns, fine orangeware which is slightly micaceous. The form is known in Holt and may be presumed to have been produced locally early in the 2nd century.(1)
Found by the writer in May 2000, at a depth of 0.33 m was a rimsherd in a fine and slightly micaceous, local orangeware from a shallow dish; form: Grimes 1930, 221 fig 69; early 2nd -century (2)
