Full Description
<1> Penny S, Various, Portable Antiquities Voluntary Recording Scheme Recording Form, 1998 (Paper Archive). SCH4332.
A gold mourning ring with a plain exterior apart from small floral motif on one side. Inscribed inside is EH:ob:sep 25:86, suggesting a date of xx86. The style of inscription is consistent with a seventeenth century date. Diameter 20mm, exterior 18mm, internal 3.5mm thick. Found by metal detector.
