Full Description
Bronze Age looped and socketed axe found with a metal detector in July 1998. Has three parallel ribs and trumpet mouth. Damaged. Length 96mm, width of blade 44mm, diameter of mouth 35mm. Two casting droplets (c.size of 1p) were found at the same site. (1)
Late Bronze Age socketed axehead, looped with three parallel ribs on each face (faint on one side), trumpet mouthed. Mouth partly missing - damaged in antiquity. Prominent casting seams on each side face.(2)
